Koreana Menu
For my Typography class, we were tasked to redesign a menu for a local restaurant. I chose one of my favorite restaurants, Koreana III, which is located in Louisville, Kentucky. I used a dry brush and black ink to create a graphic for the background that says "Koreana" in hangul, the Korean alphabet. I modified a modern handwritten typeface for the restaurant's new logo and the headers on the back side of the menu and I used a clean, sans-serif typeface for the menu items. Instead of using photos as many Asian restaurants do, I described some of the ingredients or dishes underneath the items to encourage restaurant visitors might be willing to try something new.
