The following are posters that were designed to advertise events at a restaurant and bar.
Each poster was catered to the theme of the event.

The poster below was designed for a night art fair that I organized at this small bar and restaurant in Southern Indiana. The event was in October and was all about dark arts, taxidermy, and oddities. To capture the odd/spooky feel, I used a vintage-horror-movie-inspired typeface for the title and incorporated a bat illustration. I wanted the poster to stand out, so I made it bright white, very simple, and almost tattoo-style. Interest for the event immediately exploded on Facebook and almost 4,000 people RSVP'd before the date of the event, almost 300x their normal event interest.

This poster was for a Japanese-inspired burger event.  The bar called the event "Katsu: King of Burgers" and wanted a vintage Japanese feel, so I used a vintage Godzilla comic book cover and incorporated the event information in a comic book style. The event was very successful and doubled the sales and attendance compared to a typical Tuesday night.

This poster was designed to advertise a Roaring Twenties-themed New Years Eve party. I used Art Deco typefaces and a neutral color palette to create a poster that felt elegant and timeless.

This poster was developed for an "anti-Valentine's Day" event called "Black Hearts Club." Playing cards are already a prominent part of the bar's branding, so I knew I wanted to incorporate a vintage-style Queen of Hearts playing card into the poster design. I modified a traditional playing card by adding a dagger stabbing the traditional playing card heart, which fit the anti-romantic theme of the event.
