I created a wearable sculpture using corrugated cardboard, handmade paper, and wire. Modeled here by Micah Wilson, the piece was attached using a system of internal leather belts. The cardboard was cut into pieces and arranged to create a geometric shape on the wearer and the wire around the top of the piece upholds individual pieces of homemade paper in a somewhat organic presentation. The top layer of the cardboard was then cut into intricate patterns using an x-acto knife, and I then pulled away the top layer to reveal the texture of the corrugated middle layer.
